If you drive, park, and then take mass transit to work, you can have up to $120 a month/$1,440 a year deducted for your mass transit expenses, and up to $230 a month/$2,760 a year for your commuter parking expenses deducted from your salary before taxes are taken out. With a potential total monthly deduction of up to $350 a month/$4,200 a year, your annual savings could amount to up to $1055 or more a year (click here for details).
Auto Commuters
If you commute by car and pay to park at or near your workplace, you are allowed to deduct before taxes up to $230 a month/$2,760 a year. Your potential annual savings here could be as high as $729 or more a year (click here for details).
